This video is a special thank-you to all my friends and family for their support over the last five years. The last two have been especially difficult, having experienced real failure for the first time and having to pick myself up and try again. I dedicate this amazing achievement to my grandfather, who wasn’t able to see me graduate. Rest in peace Grandpa, and thanks for being so supportive of me.
To UNISA, thanks for educating me, and torturing me with slow results releases, it’s been an interesting ride.
I have the great honour of going to work at Deloitte next year, one of the top accounting firms in the world, and completing my three years of articles with them. After that, and two board exams during my time there, I will finally be a qualified Charted Accountant. Hopefully be then, God will have opened up new doors of opportunity. I will continue to pursue my dream of telling stories through art/motion picture, but I have begun to understand that this accounting field is an important part of my journey, and I will no longer fight it.
