SuperNote 2012

The SuperNote contest was created by two amazing ‘internetainers’, Rhett and Link. The concept is simple. Who can hold the longest note/notes without a break? This is both an individual competition, and a team competition, with thousands grouping their notes together for one massive continuous note. The team with the longest time, wins. It’s really just a silly competition for the fun of it, and after sitting on the sidelines for the previous two SuperNotes, I finally decided to throw my note in amongst the noise.

It was actually a lot of fun shooting this video. I got to sit in front of a camera and make crazy noises. In fact, I was making such strange noises my dog came running into the room multiple times to look at me sideways. I was really struggling to get past 30 seconds, but after a bit of research online about breathing techniques I managed to nail over 40. We’ll see what the judges say the final score is. I have no idea how the leaders at the moment got well over a minute, it’s madness. I think perhaps I’ll begin practicing now for the next SuperNote, *queue crazy breathing noises.

Some say I'm the most handsome man in the world (my mom), others tend to disagree, but one thing is certain - I love to entertain. Whether it be through music, writing, or film, seeing people respond with a smile is worth more than a bag of gold. Figuratively obviously, because smiles are free and gold is very expensive.
