Marc Williams

Marc Williams (born April 14, 1990) is a South African born entertainer. The founder and spear head of Srizzil, he has been experimenting with movies and music for most of his young life.

Thinking into the future, at just 11 years old, Marc began creating websites through trial and error. Brand ideas like Cool Teens, Stand out World, and standoutt gave him experience in writing and networking on the web. In 2004 Marc was chosen to join a host of young teens around South Africa to review movies quarterly with Ster-Kinekor, this fuelled the passion he already had for movies, and began to open his mind to more. At the end of the year, he asked to stay on and review movies with the South African press, posting them on his website.

In 2006, after accidentally walking in on a school magazine meeting, Marc found himself designing most of the magazine. When the school art teacher saw it, he insisted Marc begin taking Art as an extra subject, this at the end of the eleventh grade. In Marc’s matric year he set his mind on creating short films for his art finals. In June of 2007, he began filming his last final entitled X6. The project involved many young actors from the school, and was shot with a small Sony Handy Cam. In August 2007, the film premiered to the cast and their families at Ster-Kinekor’s Gateway cinema.

Marc spent the next year studying a BComt through Varsity College and UNISA (University of South Africa). In March of 2009, Marc was desperate for a creative outlet. He began work on Srizzil. The focus of Srizzil was to allow a space to create videos and films that could be available to the world.

In 2010, Marc worked as a part time intern on Spud: The Movie, assisting the cast coordinator.
