There is something electric about being on a movie set. The crew is constantly busy, moving equipment, setting up the next shot and readying the actors. In offices further away a team is running the huge admin task that surrounds the movie making process, organising extras, managing finances, sorting out logistics for cast and crew. All the while magic is happening in front of the camera as a story comes together.
Spud will be entering its last week of filming now, most of the crazy eight are getting ready to wrap and John Cleese is most likely climbing onto a plane. Troye Sivan, however, with his quirky manner and friendly smile, has some true Durban filming left to do.
Seeing all the characters being brought to life is something any fan of the book should be excited for. And from what I’ve seen through pieces of the shooting process the Spud team is working hard to achieve the best possible transfer from paper to screen. Soon it will all be up to the post production team to edit and score the film to perfection. Good luck.
