I agree with your review almost entirely. The thing we must remember is that Stephanie Meyer wrote the original story and she described Bella as screaming historically. I guess it seems lunatic but there was no other way to show that in the movie.

Certain things where changed for the movie though that did not sit 100% well with me(and I know others agree with me).
The biggest being that scene when Jacob transformed to a wolf in front of Bella. That was not how she found out in the book.
The worst being that they ended the movie with Edward asking her to marry him.
It could have been an attempt to begin the storyline for the next book but I personally think it shouldnt have been done and I left the movie saying “that was not supposed to happen now”.

As for the screaming girls….there were hooting boys in the movies as well, I guess the females in the movie do make them happy

Taylor Lautner worked hard to be in the movie and even though he does not fit the exact description of Jacob(admit it girls) he definitely plays the role very well.

I await Eclipse anxiously as it is my personal favourite and the most enticing of all 4 books.
