Justin Bieber releases Mistletoe

Monday, October 17th, 2011

It’s finally out, NEW Justin Bieber music. While we wait for the next album (Believe) Justin Beiber and his crew are throwing us an original star studded Christmas Album. Today, October 17 2011, the first single – Mistletoe – dropped on iTunes. The Bieber team is hoping it’ll go straight to the top of the charts for Justin’s first number 1 single on iTunes. Listen to the song courtesy of Ryan Seacrest above.

Update: Within hours of releasing, the song raced to the top of the iTunes charts to become Bieber’s first No1 on iTunes.

Here are the lyrics to the original song:

Lyrics from http://ryanseacrest.com

Aye, it’s the most beautiful time of the year,
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer,
I should be playing in the winter snow,
But Ima be under the mistletoe.

I don’t wanna miss out on the holiday,
But I can’t stop staring at your face,
I should be playing in the winter snow,
But Ima be under the mistletoe.

With you, shawty with you,
With you, shawty with you,
With you, under the mistletoe, yeah.

Everyone’s gathering around the fire,
Chestnuts roasting like a hot July,
I should be chillin’ with my folks, I know,
But Ima be under the mistletoe.

Word on the streets Santa’s coming tonight,
Reindeer flying thru the sky so high,
I should be making a list, I know,
But Ima be under the mistletoe.

With you, shawty with you,
With you, shawty with you,
With you, under the mistletoe,
Yeaaa.

With you, shawty with you,
With you, shawty with you,
With you, under the mistletoe.

Hey love, the Wise Men followed a star,
The way I followed my heart,
And it led me to a miracle.

Aye love, don’t you buy me nothing,
‘Cause I am feeling one thing,
Your lips on my lips,
That’s a Merry Merry Christmas.

It’s the most beautiful time of the year,
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer,
I should be playing in the winter snow,
But Ima be under the mistletoe.

I don’t wanna miss out on the holiday,
But I can’t stop staring at your face,
I should be playing in the winter snow,
But Ima be under the mistletoe.

With you, shawty with you,
With you, shawty with you,
With you, under the mistletoe.
Sing it again!
With you, shawty with you,
With you, shawty with you,
With you, under the mistletoe, yeah.

Kiss me underneath the mistletoe,
Show me baby that you love me so,
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Kiss me underneath the mistletoe,
Show me baby that you love me so,
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

Justin Bieber covers ‘Come Home To Me’

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

Justin Bieber is at it again. At some point during his crazy MyWorld touring schedule he managed to cover and release a new song. The song was originally from Lisa Goe and Ernie Halter, who were almost unheard of before the Biebs tweeted a free download to his cover. Is this Dan Kanter’s influence (Bieber’s Musical Director & Guitarist)? Maybe.

The acoustic song is tender and shows off the young super star’s developing voice. Remember when I found him years ago and said he was going to be huge?

The link the Biebs sent out was to a pretty dodgy advert infested website, so at my peril I’ve uploaded it to Srizzil for you to download in a nice clean environment. I also made some quick cover art (right), because we don’t want our iPods looking ugly whilst we listen to this awesome new song. You’re welcome.

LXD short film.

Saturday, February 26th, 2011

If you haven’t heard about the LXD, from the brilliant mind of John M. Chu, you should be highly ashamed of yourself. Fear not, for I am here to educate you. Legion of Extraordinary Dancers, or LXD for short, is a web series about two rival dance groups. Now, for the first time, the LXD has created a short film that is currently being shown in front of the Justin Bieber: Never Say Never 3D Director’s cut. The film is currently in America Cinemas. It stars Harry Shum JR. of Glee and Step Up fame.

Thanks, again, to John M. Chu, we don’t have to wait for the film to arrive in SA to see the short. Here it is thanks to the wonders of YouTube:

Triple Bieber Cover

Friday, February 25th, 2011

I’ve wanted to cover some of Justin Bieber’s songs since he came out with his first album and then again with his second. Unfortunately it just never happened. The few times I did attempt to do anything it was horrible. Then, one night I was messing around with a guitar and singing some songs and decided to let the camera roll. This is the result. The Justin Bieber songs have been spliced together.

If you noticed, I did mix up some words in there, but hey at least it’s not the national anthem. :P

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never

Review

An interesting take on the concert movie genre, leaning more towards a documentary style. It’s heart warming and full of fluff but it also shows that the Biebs is more than just a teenage icon, he’s extremely talented. I took two Bieber haters with me to watch the movie and although they weren’t exactly singing his praises, they admitted that the kid had talent. The movie does feel like a opportunistic grab at making some easy money off a die hard fan base, but it gives the fans what they want and how often do movies achieve that?
